Bully Ray disclosed that he had to put Cass in an ambulance in the past due to his substance abuse and that he had come a long way in his recovery.

“On a personal level, me and Tommy had put Big Cass in an ambulance one night in the ECW Arena because he had hit rock bottom, and he has come back way, way, way from the pits of hell. Glad to see the vignette from Cass. I hope Enzo’s not far behind, I hope we get these two guys back together, but if it’s just Cass on his own, so happy for that dude,” he said. (H/T: WrestleTalk)

The 39-year-old spent some time in All Elite Wrestling before departing the company earlier this year.

Big Cass thanks WWE legend for helping him

Big Cass shared that he was thankful to Diamond Dallas Page for helping him during his recovery.

Speaking with Renne Paquette on The Sessions podcast, Cass discussed how DDP helped turn his life around. The WWE veteran shared that Page initially helped him get through rehab.

“After I had that first seizure in Philadelphia back in 2018, he got in touch with me. He said, ‘You know, if you’re ever ready to come down here and visit Atlanta, I’d really like to help you.’ I guess in May of 2019 is when I went down to Atlanta to link up with him just hanging out, pretty much, working out, hanging out, and talking. We developed a relationship and a bond. He’s helped me tremendously. He was very instrumental in getting me through rehab the first time.” (H/T – 411mania.com)
