To her credit, she got herself fit and even wore a face mask to compete on SmackDown. She teamed up with Tiffany Stratton to take on Nia Jax and Lash Legend but ended up taking the loss as she was pinned again. After the match, she was seen grimacing and hobbling back with the help of two officials, leading many fans to think that she was injured again.
However, those claims were debunked as it has now emerged that the video of her hobbling around injured was a work and that she is not really injured.
Chelsea Green wants to take on Rhea Ripley
Chelsea Green won the WWE women’s championship after Rhea Ripley was unable to compete as she got injured.
Green has now admitted that since she is the interim champion, she would like to take on Ripley once she is back from injury to ensure that she becomes the permanent champion. In an interview with ETalk, Green said:
“You know, I’ve had 13 years to think about who my dream opponent would be, but I think it’s only fair that I say Rhea Ripley, considering I’m technically the Interim Women’s Champion, you know. And Rhea Ripley is the WWE Women’s Champion. I think we need to duke it out for a position of maybe permanent residency.”
It is commendable that Chelsea Green wants to defend her interim title against Rhea Ripley. She deserves credit for that as it adds legitimacy to her title reign.
