The match between Penta and Fenix was hard-hitting right off the bat. Neither of the brothers went easy on the other. Penta hit the Penta Driver in the ring and went for the pin, but Fenix managed to kick out at the last minute. The former Intercontinental Champion also hit the same move on top of the announcer’s desk. At one point, Penta looked to hit the Mexican Destroyer from the top rope, but the current AAA World Cruiserweight Champion managed to land on his feet. In the end, Penta hit the Mexican Destroyer and pinned Fenix to pick up the win.
After the match, the brothers hugged, showing mutual respect. It is to be noted that this was the first time both brothers wrestled each other inside a WWE ring.
Penta will challenge Roman Reigns for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on the September 14 episode of RAW. The episode will be broadcast live from the Arena CDMX in Mexico City.
Apart from the World Title Match, Chad Gable will also defend his Intercontinental Championship against Dragon Lee on the same episode of WWE RAW.
