Now, SelfMade PW has reported that Gunther was slated to be in a program with The Head of the Table in late spring or early summer. However, those plans appear to have fallen through for unknown reasons, leading to substantial creative changes.

The Ring General has recently been moved to SmackDown, where he came up against the-then Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, but couldn’t get the better of him. He also lost in a Triple Threat Match against The American Nightmare and Sami Zayn at Night of Champions in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on June 27.

Although he still has his eyes on SmackDown’s top title, it is now held by CM Punk, who ended Zayn’s reign in a mere nine days. Meanwhile, Roman Reigns will put his world title on the line against Seth Rollins at SummerSlam, whereas The Ring General’s path to the top of the mountain still appears rocky.

Seth Rollins Gets The Better Of Roman Reigns On RAW

The main event of the latest episode of RAW saw the contract signing for the World Heavyweight Title match at SummerSlam 2026 between Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins.

After the signing and an intriguing back-and-forth exchange on the mic, the former Shield brothers had had too much and went at each other. Much to the surprise of the WWE Universe, The Bloodline was nowhere to be seen as The Visionary managed to get the better of Roman Reigns.

While Rollins has his eyes on the title he never lost, Reigns will be interested in getting the better of The Visionary, who has a surpringly one sided history against the OTC.
