Ric Flair, in an interview with Ariel Helwani, spoke about Charlotte Flair’s match at WrestleMania. He said that he had not enjoyed her WrestleMania match at all. He said that for her to be wrestling, despite enjoying her team with Alexa Bliss, she should be in the title picture and nothing else. He complimented her match with Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania in the past, and said that though Ripley won, there was no winner or loser.

“I didn’t like her match at all. And I think that Ashley needs to be, and I know she enjoys the relationship with Alexa, if Ashley is not in the title picture, then right now in my life and as a spectator… I meet a lot of people, a lot of athletes and travel around the world. Without her in the main event in a singles match. The match she had with Rhea Ripley last year or two years ago, they’ve never had a match like that ever in the history of women’s wrestling. And Rhea can go as well. So I’m putting them both forward. Rhea won the match, but there was no winner or loser. That suplex off the second rope, that German, come on. Please. Does not happen in real life.”

Ric Flair also spoke about how Charlotte Flair had achieved so much and insisted that it was through her own effort. He said that the star had done it all on her own, and he had very little to do with it. He added that he was just proud of her and that was what made him emotional, seeing him enter the ring on Friday.

“She has accomplished so much, and she is beyond great. And everyone wants to say Ric Flair bump, Ric Flair push… bullsh**. She did it on her own. I had very little to do. We talk about it. The only time we have an argument in life is when we talk about wrestling. And I’m just proud of her, and everytime I get to see her, and if that entrance was not one of the greatest entrances of all time, tell me what was.”

Charlotte Flair herself has spoken about loving her team with Bliss, but given that she has now lost the title match at Mania, it remains to be seen what’s next for them.
