The NASCARCup Series AdventHealth 400 has gone official, and the penalties rang empty. Zero cars ended the race under penalty to be served, thus meaning that the 400-lap event went quite cleanly. However, that does not mean that Sunday went scot-free. There were still a whole bunch of minor incidents of note.

Unapproved Adjustments
The No. 4 of Noah Gragson and the No. 22 of Joey Logano were sent to the rear of the field pre-race due to unapproved adjustments. The teams made an effort to improve their cars’ speed, but nothing resulted in better performance.

Wreck on Pit Lane
On lap 39, the cars are cycling through green-flag pit spots. As Ryan Blaney was leaving his pit stall, AJ Allmendinger was entering his stall that was a couple of spots in front of Blaney’s. In a bout of bad timing, Blaney exited his pit, contacted Allmendinger, and spun the No. 16 car around, while Blaney exited quite okay.
Tyler Reddick Goes Into the Wall

On lap 265/267, Reddick was in the lead and seemingly destined for victory. While Hamlin kept making runs at the No. 45, they mostly fell short. With 3 to go, Reddick appeared to think that he ran out of gas. That caused Reddick to switch to backup pump No. 2 and, in the process, Reddick grazed the wall in turns 3-4. Hamlin would gain the lead.

Cody Ware Forces NASCAR Overtime
Coming to the white flag, Ware spun on 60-lap-old tires in turns 3-4. As he got down to the apron to enter the pit lane, NASCAR did not see him do so quickly enough. The caution flag came out, and NASCAR went to a green-white-checkered, in which Reddick won out over Hamlin and Kyle Larson.
