Here are five WWE stars who lost their push in 2026:

#5. Bron Breakker

Bron Breakker is one of the fastest-rising superstars in WWE, holding a main-event calibre. The former Intercontinental Champion walked into 2026 with red-hot momentum, promising to break into the mainevent picture. It was a clear sign that Triple H viewed Breakker as a future face of the company. However, it appears that the latter has lost his push. He hasn’t done anything significant this year except his feud with Seth Rollins.

WWE had a great opportunity to give Bron Breakker a blockbuster direction after his feud with The Visionary. However, Triple H has seemingly dropped the ball on him. Instead of pushing Breakker as a formidable singles star ahead of SummerSlam, the company has relegated him to the tag team division by putting the World Tag Team Championship on his shoulders. It has deflated all the hype and momentum that he once had.

#4. Raquel Rodriguez

Raquel Rodriguez is one of those superstars who showed signs of a promising run in 2026. Big Mami Cool has all the tools WWE looks for in a premier powerhouse, but the creative team never tried to harness her full potential. After a decent showing at the Royal Rumble this year, Rodriguez failed to transition into the top-tier singles championship picture.

She did get involved in some prominent feuds but has only suffered setback after setback. That has eroded her credibility, dealing a major blow to her momentum. Currently, Raquel Rodriguez is acting as the enforcer for Liv Morgan and The Judgment Day rather than carving her own legacy. Her push, which was supposed to begin, has been firmly put on ice.

#3. Dominik Mysterio

Dominik Mysterio is a prominent name on the list who lost his push in 2026. There was a time when he was a double champion, holding both the WWE Intercontinental Championship and the AAA Mega Championship. Mysterio used to get featured prominently on Monday Night Raw. However, the first half of 2026 has seen his momentum take a massive hit.

Dirty Dom’s last major feud came with Finn Balor at WrestleMania 42. But since then, he has been pretty directionless on the roster. While Dominik Mysterio does get screen time on RAW, it is only in backstage segments with The Judgment Day. His individual storyline has taken a backseat as Mysterio also lost the Intercontinental Championship opportunity this week on RAW.

#2. Finn Balor

Finn Balor’s 2026 push has entirely evaporated following his WrestleMania 42 feud with Dominik Mysterio. His departure from The Judgment Day had given fans hope for a blockbuster run post-Mania. And Balor’s move to SmackDown looked like the first major step towards the revival of his mainevent career in WWE. However, it all ended up being nothing but hollow expectations.

Ever since moving to Friday Night SmackDown, Finn Balor has been directionless and is only seen in backstage segments. WWE has miserably failed to give him a proper feud on the roster and it doesn’t look like Balor would find a spot on the SummerSlam card this year. The moment that he once had following WrestleMania 42 has evaporated due to a lack of creative direction.

#1. WWE star Ilja Dragunov

The biggest example of a lost push in 2026 is Ilja Dragunov. The Mad Dragon had an incredible United States Championship run in late 2025 upon his stunning return to WWE. But 2026 has been a complete disaster for Dragunov as he failed to get involved in any meaningful feud on SmackDown. The Unbesiegbar has been away from television for the past few months

No one exactly knows where Ilja Dragunov is! WWE keeping such a talented star on the bench without any actual reason highlights the lamentable state of the Triple H-led creative team. The superstar whose career once looked promising in 2026 is now relegated to the background with a lack of direction. It remains to be seen what the future holds for Dragunov.
