While she made sporadic appearances in wrestling, Andrew shifted her focus to other aspects of the industry. Speaking on TMZ’s Inside The Ring, the 38-year-old star revealed why she lost her spot on WWE’s main roster. She said going back to train on the developmental brand cost her opportunities, but she had no intention of remaining in catering.

“I feel grateful, but there’s a big part of me that wish I did have the training and that type of stuff because I’m such an ambitious person… That’s why I went back down to NXT to go train. I don’t need my flowers or anything for that, but I was the first person to really go and they were like, ‘You may never get your spot again,’ which I didn’t. But for me it was so important to go back cause I don’t want to be sitting here in catering,” Cameron said.

Unfortunately, the management wasn’t lying, as she was released from the company a few months after her run on the developmental brand.

Cameron returned to WWE for Royal Rumble 2022

In 2012, Cameron made her official WWE debut as a Funkadactyl alongside Naomi. The two were a team in the Divas division for a while and eventually feuded in the Stamford-based promotion. After the feud, they both turned into singles competitors and a staple in the Divas’ division for the years to come.

While Naomi didn’t leave WWE’s main roster, Cameron went to the developmental brand for further training. After she finished a few months on NXT, the 38-year-old star was released from the company. Regardless of the release, her story with Naomi became the highlight of her time, and management used it in the coming years.

From 2021 to 2022, The Glow was in a feud with Sonya Deville, and the management brought back Cameron for a spot in the Women’s Royal Rumble match. Unfortunately, the Funkadactyls’ reunion didn’t happen on-screen as Deville eliminated Cameron.
