Over the last few weeks, there was plenty of chatter surrounding his return, which he repeatedly downplayed on several occasions. That said, things finally turned true on SmackDown when Corbin showed up to attack Carmelo Hayes while he was at the top rope. The crowd cheered on as he took out both Hayes and Trick Williams, ending their US Title match on an inconclusive note.

Many big names have left WWE recently

While the consensus towards Corbin’s return is mostly positive, a few surprise exits in recent months have left a sour taste in fans’ mouths.

Beginning with The New Day in May and followed by Sheamus most recently, the sudden departures of such prominent names due to salary issues have given way to backlash against TKO. Apart from them, a highly-rated tag team like Motor City Machine Guns, which signed with WWE after spending years performing across the globe, were also released merely a year into their arrival.

Such decisions are sure to be red flags for up-and-coming talents and even bigger names who have been eying a return to the Stamford-based promotion. That said, it seems like two more stars are nearing their returns to the company. Rumors suggest that Enzo Amore and Big Cass are next in line to make a comeback.
