Tyrod Taylor is one of the greatest offensive players in Virginia Tech history. The 2010 ACC Player of the Year led the Hokies to two ACC titles, where he was also a two-time ACC Championship Game MVP. Taylor started 38 games over the course of his Virginia Tech career, finishing with a remarkable 34-4 record.
Since his college career ended, Taylor has enjoyed a long career as an NFL backup, becoming one of the league’s better backup QBs. He spent four years with the Baltimore Ravens, three years with the Buffalo Bills, one year with the Cleveland Browns, two years with the Los Angeles Chargers, one year with the Houston Texans, two years with the New York Giants, and the last two seasons with the New York Jets.

Now, Taylor has a new team. He will be Jordan Love’s backup with the Green Bay Packers next season.
Taylor has appeared in 100 career NFL games, with 62 starts. He has completed 62% of his passes for 13,033 yards, with 73 touchdowns and 34 interceptions. Taylor has also rushed for 434 yards and 20 touchdowns.
Taylor was inducted into the Virginia Tech Sports Hall of Fame class of 2024.
