Speaking to Esse Magazine, Dirty Dom did not hold back on his father and said he doesn’t like him and that The Master of 619 needs to retire. He said he is now carrying the Mysterio legacy himself and has accomplished more than his father did.

“Yeah, I don’t like him. He needs to retire. He’s dragging the Mysterio name down, and the greatest Mysterio of all time is right here in front of you, you know, I’ve done things he’s never done. You know, your AAA Mega Càmpion, things in the WWE that he’ll never accomplish. So I’m just, I’m excited that the Italian fans will finally get a new perspective on the Mysterio name,” said Dominik Mysterio.

Dominik Mysterio’s latest comments about his father stood out even more because questions about Rey Mysterio’s future have been circulating for quite some time. The WWE Hall of Famer is now in the later stages of his career, and speculation about when he could finally retire from the ring has intensified over the last year.

Dominik Mysterio’s reaction to his father’s appointment as the General Manager of a major promotion

Rey Mysterio is one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, and recently, the Hall of Famer was given a major role.

On the May 23 episode of AAA, the company’s President, Marisela Peña, named Rey Mysterio the new General Manager of Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide – the same company where Rey began his career.

AAA released footage of The Judgment Day member reacting to the news. Dominik Mysterio was shown watching the announcement on a monitor backstage. He threw a fit and looked angry as he spent years trying to separate himself from his father’s name, yet now has to operate directly under his father’s authority in AAA.
