The highly anticipated boxing showdown between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua could feature a star-studded musical performance, with British icons such as Noel Gallagher or Elton John being considered to entertain fans. The search for an “iconic UK act” comes as initial plans for Dua Lipa to perform appear to have fallen through.
Spencer Brown, Fury’s manager, revealed to Sky Sports that while Saudi financier Turki Alalshikh had initially sought Dua Lipa, her involvement is now improbable. Brown expressed confidence that British fans would embrace an alternative, stating: “I’m sure that British fans will get over it.”

He added: “We’d still like to pursue an iconic UK act on the show – someone like Noel Gallagher, Robbie Williams, Manic Street Preachers, Elton John or even Rod Stewart – but that’s entirely up to Turki Alalshikh and Netflix because without them, none of this would be possible.”

Brown believes one of these artists would be keen to step in, promising “an iconic night of British boxing, a fantastic spectacle.” He assured fans: “Please be sure the fight will happen on what will be the biggest night and the biggest fight British boxing has ever seen.”

The long-awaited grudge match, which promoter Eddie Hearn confirmed earlier this week, is slated to take place before the end of the year. While a definitive date and venue remain unconfirmed, London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and Wembley are reportedly among the potential locations for the bout, which has been discussed for nearly a decade.
Both former world champions have been active recently. Fury, 37, emerged from retirement to defeat Arslanbek Makhmudov in London earlier this month. Meanwhile, 36-year-old Joshua, who survived a road accident in which two of his close friends and members of his team were killed in December, is scheduled to face Kristian Prenga on 25 July.
