The Heritage Bank Center in Cincinnati was originally set to open its doors for the September 4 edition of SmackDown. However, Ticketmaster informed fans who bought tickets that the event organizer had to cancel the event.

WWE has since removed the aforementioned Friday Night Show from its listing on its website.

The Wrestling Observer learned that logistical and production-related issues were cited as the reason behind the September 4, 2026, episode of SmackDown getting canceled.

According to reports, WWE will still be holding a TV episode that night, but whether the rescheduling will take place in the Queen City remains to be seen.

Interestingly, the August 31 episode of RAW, which was previously scheduled to take place at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, is also no longer listed on WWE’s website.

PWInsider reported that the company has plans to hold a double taping in Charlotte (no pun intended) so that the roster could take some time off during the Labor Day Weekend.

The management has yet to update its site, so fans should wait for official confirmation.

WWE Night of Champions 2026 Full Match Card

The company is returning to Saudi Arabia to host the 12th annual Night of Champions premium live event.

Triple H has loaded the card with as many as six matches, instead of the usual five-match PLE format. The lineup for Night of Champions is as follows:

  • Trick Williams (c) vs. Ricky Saints (United States Championship Match)
  • Bron Breakker vs. Seth Rollins (Steel Cage Match)
  • Tiffany Stratton (c) vs. Jade Cargill (Women’s United States Championship Match)
  • IYO SKY vs. Liv Morgan (Queen of the Ring final)
  • Jey Uso vs. Oba Femi (King of the Ring final)
  • Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Sami Zayn vs. Gunther (Triple Threat Undisputed Championship Match)

Tonight’s SmackDown will be the last stop before Night of Champions.

Fans must tune in to the show to find out how things unfold before the premium live event in Saudi Arabia this weekend.
