AAA released backstage footage of him celebrating the title win with his girlfriend Andrea Bazarte, who also works as an interviewer. After the match, she was excited to introduce her boyfriend as the new Mega Champion after which he said:

“I have no words right now, right now my love, lets go celebrate. Let’s go to the club.”

JBL wants El Grande Americano to stay in AAA

WWE Hall of Famer JBL has had his say on the rise of El Grande Americano. The former WWE Champion was speaking on Busted Open Radio when he said that because he has found a home in AAA, that he should stay there.

He said:

“I want him to stay in Mexico. There’s no doubt about it to me. It’s hard to get over. It’s hard to get over anywhere. If guys can get over anywhere, I don’t care if it’s Tennessee, Japan, Puerto Rico, Mexico, it doesn’t matter. If you can get over, that’s tough to do. He is the biggest star in Mexico right now, and that is amazing. I would ride this AAA wave. I don’t know what they’re coming for next. I don’t have any insight about this so I’m not giving away anything from meetings or anything. But I think they’re gonna get a pretty good TV deal coming up. They got a good TV Fox deal down from Mexico down south, all the way down to South America. I think they’ll get another TV deal.”

JBL is not wrong in that El Grande Americano has not just found a home but is the top name in the organization.
