The former leader of the Vision would most likely win the tournament, given his deep history with The OTC and their unfinished business. Moreover, Rollins never lost his title officially but vacated it last year due to injury.

In a shocking turn of events, Seth Rollins wins the King of the Ring tournament and gets his World Heavyweight Championship match against Roman Reigns at the WWE SummerSlam 2026 premium live event.

Heading into the contest, Rollins will be well aware of what he is dealing with when facing the Tribal Chief, who will be backed by his Bloodline, and to counter it, he could form his own Shield 2.0 with The Street Profits.

Rollins is best known for playing mind games, and Shield betrayal left a lasting effect on Reigns. The Revolutionary did something similar when he faced the OTC at WWE Royal Rumble 2022, where he came out to Shield music and signature attire, playing mind games with his former faction mate.

This time, Seth could raise the bar by reforming his own Shield with Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins as his partners, who could help him counter the Bloodline, while he could focus on beating Roman Reigns at SummerSlam.

The angle proposed above is speculative, and nothing has been confirmed as of now.

Seth Rollins calls out the WWE Champion

Roman Reigns has kicked off his World Heavyweight title reign with a bang, making two title defenses successfully in just 50 days. He also made a bold claim that he made the big gold relevant once again.

However, this comment didn’t seemingly sit well with former champion Rollins, who, in an interview, called his ex-Shield factionmate’s comment “complete bullsh**.”

Here’s what he said:

“So now Roman Reigns is walking around with my title and talking about how he made the title relevant. Which is bullsh**. I’ll just say it. It is complete bullsh**. He knows it, I know it. Everybody else knows it. He sounds like an idiot when he says it.”

It will be interesting to see what plans Triple H and his WWE creative team have in store for The Visionary and whether he wins the KOTR tournament and gets his dream bout with Reigns at SummerSlam.
