The sudden change in Reigns’ status led to speculations that the World Heavyweight Champion is at odds with the TKO regarding their recent contract restructuring policies, and could leave the company after dropping the title to Jacob Fatu at Backlash. However, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com has dismissed the rumors, seemingly confirming that there is no tension between the OTC and TKO.

Roman Reigns could miss an upcoming WWE premium live event

While the rumor mill has been abuzz with speculations ever since Roman Reigns was pulled from all the RAW episodes up until June, a recent report has stated that he is no longer advertised for the events because he won’t be in action at the Night of Champions.

Night of Champions will emanate from the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on June 27, and as per the aforementioned report, the OTC will not be present at the event. Thus, he also won’t be making any RAW appearances on the road to the show, as he is simply not slated for a storyline.

Roman Reigns won the World Heavyweight Championship on Night Two of WrestleMania 42, where he defeated CM Punk. While the OTC had been working a part-time schedule in WWE over the last few years, he promised the fans after the win that they would see him all summer. However, that no longer seems to be the case as he looks set to be away from WWE programming after his match against Jacob Fatu at Backlash.
