Carmelo Hayes spoke about how Trick Williams was often spoken about as having an aura and was called a superstar. However, he said that despite all that, Hayes overworked him. He called out WWE, saying he had been battle-tested, dragged through the mud, pushed aside, and overlooked in the company. He said that it had happened often.

The star has missed out on opportunities that should have been his in the past, and it appears he decided to speak on it.

“And Trick Williams, when people say your name, they say aura, they say superstar, and that’s valid, but all the aura and superstardom in the world isn’t going to outwork somebody that’s been battle tested, that’s been dragged through the mud, that’s been pushed to the side, that’s been overlooked as many times as Carmelo Hayes.”

The star also made fun of Lil Yachty, saying that his hit songs were all songs where he was the featured artist, and called him William’s sidekick.

“Two words we’re not going to talk about when we talk about me is prove and deserving. Because all I’ve done is prove, and all I do is deserve. You know, last week Yachty made me realize, sometimes I do come up short. But what’s your excuse? Yachty, he makes a great sidekick for Trick Williams, right? And I’m wondering if maybe that’s because all your top songs have only been features. Let’s talk about it.”

While Hayes was very close to winning against Trick Williams and showing what he could do on SmackDown, it was not to be, as Baron Corbin’s return saw both him and Williams taken out.
