WWE has released several big stars, including Kairi Sane, The Motor City Machine Guns, The Wyatt Sicks, and Zelina Vega, in its recent budget cuts. Now, JC Mateo and Tonga Loa have unfortunately become a part of this list.
Talla Tonga recently took to Instagram to react to his stablemates’ releases. Although the MFT star did not write anything in his post, he reacted to the releases by uploading a picture featuring Mateo and Loa.
Check out his Instagram post below:
Former WWE writer Vince Russo wasn’t a fan of a major change in Solo Sikoa’s MFT
In October 2025, Solo Sikoa’s Bloodline underwent a major character change. They debuted a new persona in which all of them, except Sikoa, had face paint on.
During an edition of BroDown with host Mac Davis, former WWE writer Vince Russo said that he believed Solo’s MFT looked like clowns with the makeup on. He also took shots at Triple H, Paul Heyman, Michael Hayes, and Bruce Prichard, calling them clueless as he felt they had no clue how to put on good SmackDown shows.
“Let’s use tonight’s show as an example. Now the Samoans are clown Samoans. They put on clown makeup. This is what I’m talking about. Triple H is clueless. Paul Heyman is clueless. Michael Hayes is clueless. Bruce Prichard is clueless. Brian James is clueless. They’re a bunch of idiots. This show s**ks. They have ki**ed the wrestling business.”
It remains to be seen what former WWE Superstars JC Mateo and Tonga Loa have planned for their future in the professional wrestling world.
