Recently, the multi-time Women’s Champion reflected on the day she had and tweeted about it on X. Big Time Becks gave the former WWE Women’s Champion a new name and called her ‘IYO Jannety.’ In her promo on RAW, Lynch praised Ripley for her success, like Shawn Michaels, and embarrassed SKY for being left behind, like Marty Jannetty.

“What an unbelievable Monday! First, we had a successful AMO launch, then I had a very decisive title defense over Iyo “Jannety”. No “Corrupt Carr” to ruin another match, and Adam Pearce finally met my backstage demands (the red light sauna was amazing, thank you). Just out here Bexmaxxing!” Lynch tweeted on X.

While the loss didn’t sit well with the former Women’s World Champion, SKY is looking forward to even the odds with Asuka in the coming weeks.

IYO SKY will compete at WWE Backlash 2026

Last year, Asuka and Kairi Sane turned on IYO SKY when The Genius of the Sky sided with Rhea Ripley. The two feuded with The Kabuki Warriors for months and even competed against them on different occasions. Earlier this year, the two teams ended their feud when RHIYO won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship from the villainous duo.

Unfortunately, RHIYO lost the titles to The Irresistible Forces, and the 29-year-old star went to Friday Night SmackDown following WWE Elimination Chamber 2026. After Mami won the WWE Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 42 in Nevada, the two defeated Kabuki Warriors for a final time in a tag team match on the red brand and went their separate ways.

However, Asuka didn’t forget about IYO SKY and recently cost her the title match against Becky Lynch for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship. Later, the management booked a one-on-one match between The Empress of Tomorrow and The Genius of the Sky, which was originally planned for WrestleMania 42.
