The WWE Hall of Famer recently appeared as a special guest at The Town of Hempstead Spring Dust-Off Car Show in Long Island, New York. He even signed autographs for free as part of the event. During the event, a New York firefighter whom the wrestling legend had met at Ground Zero visited him. The WWE legend had met the firefighter when the former visited the site in the aftermath of 9/11.

The WWE Hall of Famer was surprised when the firefighter showed him a photo of them together at Ground Zero, and he hugged him for a long time. He also informed the crowd that the firefighter was one of the heroes from Ground Zero and asked them to give him a standing ovation. The former Universal Champion then spoke to the firefighter for several minutes and even exchanged numbers so they could keep in touch.

Bully Ray compared Oba Femi to Goldberg

Oba Femi is one of the fastest-rising stars on the WWE roster. Within a few months of making his main roster debut, he destroyed Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 42. He has also been able to get over with the fans. His entrance and everything surrounding him is similar to Goldberg, according to Bully Ray.

Speaking on his Busted Open Radio podcast, Bully Ray compared Oba Femi to the former Universal Champion, stating they have a similar style of entrance and fan chants. Therefore, the Ruler could follow a similar path to the WWE legend.

“What happened every week that we saw of Goldberg? It was basically the same, the entrance, the pomp, the circumstance. Everything is there for the Goldberg-esque excitement. And Goldberg lasted for a long time. What did he do? Couple of big things. Spear, jackhammer, one, two, three. People were popping louder and louder every single week on their way to his first couple of championships. So, we do the same thing with Oba,” Bully said.

It remains to be seen if Oba Femi will be able to achieve the same amount of success as the WWE Hall of Famer.
