Baron Corbin was also in action at the Stockton live event last night, where he faced Trick Williams, Carmelo Hayes and Ricky Saints in a Fatal Four-Way match for the United States Championship. This was the 41-year-old’s first match inside the WWE ring in nearly two years, as his last match in the company took place on 18 October 2024. Corbin did not have a successful outing to the squared circle, as Williams managed to retain the title.

Baron Corbin sent a bold message following his WWE return

Baron Corbin returned to WWE after nearly two years on the July 10, 2026, episode of SmackDown. The former United States Champion wasted no time as he went after Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes upon his return. Following the show, Corbin put the entire locker room on notice, stating that Williams is the first name on his list.

“I’ve been watching the shows, and I see all these guys running around, thinking they’re legitimately tough. Think they can walk the walk and talk the talk. I am the real deal, and the world knows it. Trick, you’re the first name on a long list. And Melo, unfortunately for you, you were just collateral damage.”

Baron Corbin again attacked Trick Williams after SmackDown this past Friday. The two men will get a chance to settle their differences inside the squared circle at SummerSlam. This will also be Corbin’s first premium live event match in over two years.
