Last month, PROGRESS Wrestling announced that Cross, now going by the in-ring name Nikki Storm will compete in their promotion in July. At that time no official date or opponent was announced. Now, the match is officially set.

In a post on Instagram, Storm confirmed that she will face Session Moth Martina at the PROGRESS Wrestling Chapter 106: Scorchio event on July 26.

“🚨 Match Announcement 🚨 The much anticipated independent wrestling return of NIKKI STORM is confirmed! Session Moth has made it clear there’s only room for one matriarch in the company! 💫 The Best in the Galaxy vs The Mother of PROGRESS, don’t miss this one!” the post read.

The occasion will mark Nikki’s first singles match in close to three years. The last time she wreslted in a one-on-one match was on July 10, 2023 against Kiana James on Main Event and emerged victorious.

Nikki Cross bought PROGRESS Wrestling with former WWE star

After last month’s announcement about Nikki Cross’ return to the ring, it was revealed that she and her husband, former WWE star Killian Dain alongwith Big Damo are the new owners of PROGRESS Wrestling.

It was also announced that the couple is also the new owner of DEFY Wrestling. Notably, both Dain and Cross were part of the same faction early in their WWE careers.

In 2016, both were on NXT and were part of the Sanity faction. They were one of the most popular acts on the brand but after their main roster call-up Cross was left on NXT.

The faction eventually disbanded and Dain was released in 2021. Nikki Cross continued to be a part of WWE until her recent exit.
