That said, in this article, we look at three mistakes Triple H must avoid in the remaining rounds of the 2026 WWE Queen of the Ring tournament.

#3. Booking Liv Morgan to pin Charlotte Flair in the semifinals

Charlotte Flair and Liv Morgan have been among WWE’s most prominent female stars in recent years. However, when the two meet in the semifinals, Triple H should avoid having Morgan score a decisive pinfall victory over The Queen.

Liv Morgan is already one of the most protected stars on the roster. As the reigning Women’s World Champion, she doesn’t necessarily need a tournament victory or a major win over Charlotte Flair to maintain her credibility. On the other hand, Charlotte is in a much different position.

The Queen has spent much of the past year trying to re-establish herself at the top of WWE’s women’s division. Although she remains one of the most accomplished competitors in company history, she has not been as dominant as she once was. Hence, advancing to the finals of the Queen of the Ring tournament could help restore her aura. Also, it will remind fans why she is considered one of the company’s all-time greats.

A clean loss to Morgan would do little for her while potentially damaging Charlotte’s momentum. Instead, WWE should consider allowing Flair to advance or, at the very least, protect her through outside interference or controversial circumstances.

If Triple H wants to maximize the value of both stars, Charlotte should not be pinned by Liv Morgan in the semifinals.

#2. Booking Liv Morgan to win the WWE Queen of the Ring

One of the biggest mistakes WWE could make is having Liv Morgan win the entire Queen of the Ring tournament.

Although Morgan is undoubtedly one of the company’s top stars, she is already enjoying tremendous success as Women’s World Champion. The tournament is traditionally most beneficial when it elevates someone who needs a major career-defining achievement rather than someone who already sits at the top of the mountain.

Winning Queen of the Ring would provide relatively little benefit to Morgan compared to the opportunities it could create for the other remaining competitors.

Charlotte Flair could use the accolade to kickstart another dominant run. IYO SKY would further cement her place among WWE’s elite performers with a tournament victory. Meanwhile, Raquel Rodriguez could finally secure the singles breakthrough that many fans have been waiting to see.

The Miracle Kid already possesses championship gold, main-event credibility, and a strong fan following. The prestige of the tournament should ideally be used to elevate another superstar into a headline position.

Additionally, having the Women’s World Champion win Queen of the Ring could make the bracket feel predictable. The company has often succeeded when major tournaments create new stars or strengthen existing contenders. Giving Morgan another major accomplishment may not generate the same excitement as rewarding someone who has more to gain.

For that reason, Triple H should resist the temptation to add another accolade to Liv Morgan’s already impressive résumé.

#1. Booking Raquel Rodriguez to pin IYO SKY in the semifinals

Perhaps the biggest mistake WWE could make in the tournament’s final rounds would be having Raquel Rodriguez score a clean victory over IYO SKY in the semifinals.

This isn’t meant as criticism of Rodriguez, who has worked hard to remain relevant in WWE’s women’s division and has enjoyed success as a tag team competitor. However, IYO SKY remains one of the most accomplished and complete performers on the roster today.

The former world champion consistently delivers outstanding matches and remains one of the company’s most popular female superstars. Hence, a clean loss to Rodriguez could halt much of the momentum she has built over the past several months.

More importantly, IYO SKY appears to be the superstar who could benefit most from winning the tournament. She possesses the in-ring credibility, fan support, and star power necessary to carry the Queen of the Ring crown into SummerSlam season.

Rodriguez defeating SKY cleanly could also prove difficult for fans to accept, given the latter’s accomplishments and standing within the company. If WWE wants Rodriguez to advance, creative should at least consider outside distractions, interference, or controversial circumstances rather than a straightforward pinfall victory.

A Queen of the Ring semifinal should elevate everyone involved. Hence, having IYO SKY lose cleanly would risk diminishing one of the company’s most valuable performers at a time when it needs as many credible female main-event stars as possible.

As the tournament reaches its conclusion, Triple H faces several important decisions. Hence, avoiding these three mistakes could help ensure that the Queen of the Ring remains prestigious while simultaneously strengthening WWE’s women’s division heading into SummerSlam 2026.
