Umaga sadly passed away aged 36 in 2009 after suffering from heart and liver complications. His son Zilla Fatu has carried on his legacy and made a name for himself in the independent circuit before debuting in WWE. During his segment on last night’s NXT show, the crowd started chanting “Umaga” when he was speaking.

The real-life Bloodline member stopped talking and took in the emotional moment. He then looked at Stone and nodded before continuing with his segment. Interestingly, it was announced that his debut would take place at NXT Heatwave in a Fatal Four-way Match with the NXT Championship on the line.

Zilla Fatu’s debut match announced

The General Manager of NXT, Robert Stone, announced during the same segment that The Main One’s debut match in WWE will involve a championship.

The Main One made his shocking debut last week when he interfered in the main event of the night between Waller and Montana. This ensured that the ongoing number-one contender’s match didn’t have a clear winner, with Fatu attacking both stars.

Zilla Fatu is now set to lock horns against NXT Champion Tony D’Angelo, Cruz Montana, and Grayson Waller in a Fatal Four-Way Match at Heatwave on August 30, with the gold on the line.
