The Very Nice, Very Evil star took to Instagram today to send a heartfelt message to Cena. He claimed that The Cenation Leader was his new best friend, and you can check out his message in the Instagram post below.

“55,000 humans cheered for Danhausen and chanted You. Are. Cursed! as Danhausen stood in a @wwe ring with his great new best friend @johncena at WRESTLEMANIA. Never Give Uphausen. Thank you John,” he said.

Cena retired from in-ring competition last year following his loss to Gunther at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Danhausen has only had one match in the promotion so far. He defeated Kit Wilson on the April 10 edition of WWE SmackDown.

WWE star Danhausen comments on his time in All Elite Wrestling

Danhausen recently discussed his time in All Elite Wrestling and how he barely appeared on television for the promotion.

Speaking with Peter Rosenberg on the Cheap Heat podcast, the 35-year-old noted that it appeared as if he were doing a lot for AEW because he was constantly posting on social media, but that was not the case. He shared that he was doing more work on the independent wrestling scene and was barely utilized by AEW.

“No, you didn’t. You definitely did not. You saw me online a lot. Perception is reality. Danhausen would do vlogs backstage on his own and do videos with his enemies and his friendhausens, and he’d put those out there so maybe it seemed like I was doing more than I was. I was not there. I was doing the independent scenes. That’s what I was doing. About three a weekend or doing conventions and some sort like New York Comic Con and things like that.” [H/T Fightful on X]

It will be fascinating to see when John Cena decides to return to WWE television after hosting WrestleMania 42 over the weekend.
