“West Ham defended the box very well. We matched their motivation today. It’s all good.

“The biggest threat came from set-plays today. We gifted them too many, especially in the first half. They have many tall players and Bowen delivers the ball well.

“The performance was OK. The commitment was great.”

On Brennan Johnson: “It was a good performance. He was a big threat today. It’s not just goals the attackers score, he did very well out of possession. It was a good step in the right direction. He will get confidence from this performance.”
