CM Punk is embracing Mexican culture. WWE is currently on its South America Live Tour, having multiple house shows and a RAW and SmackDown there. Even AAA has its major Triplemania show on Friday and Sunday, in Paradise, Nevada, and Azcapotzalco, Mexico City, respectively. Amidst this week of Mexican focus, the Undisputed WWE Champion wore a luchador mask.
At WWE’s house show in Guadalajara, CM Punk was interacting with the fans at ringside during his entrance when he was given a mask. Naturally, he thought it was to be signed, but the fan insisted he wear it, which he did. It can be seen that the luchador mask features Chicago stars and his classic thunder-like logo, suggesting it was specially customized for him. The Second City Saint wore the mask; the fans cheered and continued his entrance with the mask on.
