Green competed in the Queen of the Ring tournament this year but was eliminated in the first round. IYO SKY defeated Liv Morgan in the finals of the Queen of the Ring tournament and will be challenging The Judgment Day star for the Women’s World Championship at SummerSlam 2026.

WWE legend praises Chelsea Green as a performer

A wrestling icon recently praised Chelsea Green and claimed that the former champion was very entertaining.

In an interview with Denise Salcedo, Layla shared that she loved the 35-year-old and that she reminded her of the diva era in the company. Layla also stated that Green was willing to do anything for the business and to entertain WWE fans.

“I love like Chelsea Green. Love her. She reminds me of like the diva era. She is a little bit like… not young me, not like I’m trying to say like pretentious, but you know when you can just see someone who’s like willing to do anything for the business, and she just goes out there and entertains,” she said.

Green is married to SmackDown star Matt Cardona in real life. It will be interesting to see what WWE has planned for her alliance with Women’s United States Champion Tiffany Stratton moving forward.
