The wrestler took to social media to reveal that he had fallen asleep at the wheel and driven head-first into the bollards on the side of the road in a dangerous car accident. He shared the good news that despite the dangers, he was alive and no one was injured, but the car was written off.

“Finally happened… I fell asleep at the wheel and drove head first into bollards on the other side of the road. I’m alive no one was injured, cars written off”

The star said that it was not a work. He said that this was part of the dangers of the job, where wrestlers had to drive for long hours and late at night. He took responsibility for the accident himself, saying that the promoter had a hotel room on location for him that night, but he was trying to drive home that night himself. He said that he had managed to get away without a scratch, but he knew that it had been a near-fatal thing, and had come as a wake-up call. He also said that he hoped that it was a message to others as well to take the hotel or pull over when feeling sleepy. He thanked God for keeping him alive.

He also posted a picture of the wrecked car.

“No it’s not a work , it’s the real dangers of the job outside the ring; long drives and late nights. To be clear my promoter had a hotel for me on location but I chose to drive home the same night of my own will. Thanks for those who checked in I got away without a scratch – Greatness. But a real wake up call to myself and hopefully the rest of the boys – take the hotel, buy the coffee , pull over to sleep if you need to. Thank you God for keeping me alive 🙏”

We at Sportskeeda wish Tate Mayfairs the best following the accident.
