A top star has suffered an injury to his neck. At Noche de Los Grandes, after a botch on the top rope, Octagon Jr took a DDT directly to his neck and was left hurt. The match could not continue as the referee stopped the proceedings, and he was taken away on a stretcher to the back for further evaluation.

This injury came just ahead of WWE’s announcements about the biggest show of the year for AAA, taking place in September, TripleMania. The event is always the biggest on the calendar, and if Octagon Jr is too injured to compete even at the time, he may be forced to miss it.

Now, F4WOnline has reported on his situation. Earlier, Bryan Alvarez had said that the star’s MRI had come back positive with nothing bad to show for the massive fall and neck being spiked. The star was in a match against Lince Dorado, Mini Vikingo, Joaquin Wilde, and Cruz Del Toro, when the botch happened, with the referee throwing up the X sign.

The reports went on to say that even if the MRI has come back good, it does not mean that the star will be wrestling again immediately. In fact, he is going to be out for several months, but apparently, it could have been a much worse injury.

“He will likely be out several months but could have been much worse.”

The video of Octagon Jr’s injury has gone viral with everyone very worried for him, so this report, while not the best, will come as a form of relief for him.

The video of Octagon Jr taking the bump can be seen below.

Sportskeeda sends best wishes to the star.
