WWE, WCW, and ECW Legend 2 Cold Scorpio was arrested after he got into a fight with a man after an altercation at the Love’s Travel Stop where he was working as a security guard.

In the latest update by PWInsider on the case that has been pending for some time, there was a pre-trial hearing on the star’s charges and arrest. A number of subpoenas were issued to the witnesses to his altercation, with them being called to testify as a result. The date of the trial has also been decided, with him standing trial on August 3 for the charges of first-degree assault and criminal action.

The report said that Scorpio had an argument with a man who was entering the building with his cigarette lit. The man in question later told authorities that he felt that the cigarette was already out. Scorpio gave a different account, saying that when he told the man to put it out, the man answered by asking him what he was going to do about it.

The report went on to say that during the fight, as per the former WWE star, he pulled a knife from his pocket and stabbed the man several times. Police say that when they arrived, the stabbed man was lying on the ground bleeding from his head, chest, buttocks, legs, and abdomen. He was taken to the hospital, losing consciousness and regaining it. There, the man told them that Scorpio had been the aggressor.

On June 15, 2024, the police arrested the former WWE star at the scene. The trial has been delayed several times with more time needed by prosecutors and the defense to gather more evidence and prepare, but now the trial is finally happening.
