#1. Seth Rollins returns to WWE
Seth Rollins returned to action at last night’s live event in Quito, where he joined forces with LA Knight and Solo Sikoa to defeat The Bloodline. The Visionary had been away from WWE programming since his loss to Roman Reigns at SummerSlam.
It was also recently revealed that Rollins’ cat, Darrell, passed away, and thus, the Visionary’s hiatus could have been due to the same reason. However, he is back now and ready to climb back to the top.
Aside from the aforementioned six-man tag team match, the live event in Quito featured top names from RAW in action. Click here to check out the complete results.
#2. Released star returns after 5 years to replace Alexa Bliss
Aside from a live event in Quito, Ecuador, WWE also hosted a house show in Guadalajara, Mexico, on Wednesday, September 9. The show featured a huge return as La Catalina wrestled in her first WWE match in nearly five years. The AAA star replaced Alexa Bliss, joining forces with Tatum Paxley and Charlotte Flair to defeat The Fatal Influence.
La Catalina was a part of the global juggernaut for nearly three years. She mainly competed on NXT and was known by different names. She left the company in 2021, only to return through AAA earlier this year.
#3. Jackie Redmond comments on heated moment between Triple H and The Rock
The Rock was heavily involved with WWE on the road to WrestleMania XL. The Final Boss turned heel during the build-up to the show’s main event and aligned with Roman Reigns. He also had a heated backstage segment with Triple H, where he asked the Game to get Cody Rhodes in line.
Jackie Redmond, who was present during the segment between the two veterans, revealed her reaction to the heated exchange of words. The WWE interviewer noted that she was shocked to see The Rock swear at Triple H:
“I’m backstage, and I’m interviewing Triple H, and The Rock comes by, interrupts the interview, and starts swearing at Triple H. And, like, you can see it in the clip; my jaw is on the floor. I’m like, ‘We’re on Netflix. I’m not sure if we’re not even supposed to swear.’ I’m like, ‘He just swore. Like, is this fake? Is this real?’ Like, I truly in that moment did not know that that was going to happen. And when The Rock swore, like, that to me was like, ‘Oh s**t, like, is he actually mad right now? Like, is something happening here?’ and so it was kind of a crazy moment,” Redmond said.
The Rock even wrestled at WrestleMania XL. The Final Boss joined forces with Roman Reigns to face Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes on Night 1 of the two-night show.
#4. WWE Superstar suspended indefinitely
Former Women’s Speed Champion Wren Sinclair was recently suspended by the NXT General Manager Robert Stone. Sinclair accidentally laid her hands on an official while attacking Kelani Jordan.
Sinclair commented on the suspension through a post on social media, noting that she’s sorry she didn’t take matters into her own hands sooner:
Hey guys, Happy Wrensday. I’ve officially been suspended from NXT, and I just wanted to take a moment to speak to everyone who supported me. I apologize for my actions yesterday. I’m sorry that I didn’t do this sooner. I mean, 2-3 years of being everybody’s doormat to step on. Kendal [Grey] is now out indefinitely because of Kelani [Jordan], and I decided to stick up for us, and Robert [Stone] suspends me.”
Wren Sinclair, however, clarified that she did not mean to hit the referee.
