Last week on Friday Night SmackDown, the main event was a WWE Championship match between the champion, CM Punk, and Johnny Gargano. This was Gargano’s first match in nearly five months. A recent report has emerged discussing the future of the former NXT Champion.
Johnny Gargano’s gimmick has been lying on an equipment box for several months. He has barely competed in a match, but has often been seen lying on equipment boxes with his wife trying to cheer him on and make him get back to his old ways. Now, according to Fightful Select, WWE is planning to feature Gargano more on TV. According to the report, when the storyline began, the Stamford-based promotion had no idea about how the story was going to end.
