According to Brooke, many claimed that her mourning wasn’t sincere and she was seeking attention. The 38-year-old responded to this by taking to Instagram and posting several edited beach photos showing herself with different body types, including heavier, thinner, and older versions.

“Would my post have been more sincere if THIS girl were at the beach mourning her dad? Or this girl? What about this girl? But this girl is an attention whore?” she wrote over the images.

She then hit out at the trolls who accused her of chasing attention just because she posted a bikini photo at the beach. In the caption, Brooke clarified that this was not meant to be a thirst trap and the beach has always been a part of her and holds special significance for her.

“Trust me, if I wanted to give you a thirst trap, you would have gotten one. If I were a surfer, a swim instructor, heavier, thinner… would it be less shocking? I grew up in swimsuits. I understand that not a lot of the world gets that. But this is my home. This is me. This is my one of many days I grieved my dad,” she wrote.

The WWE Hall of Famer’s daughter slammed people for demonizing this and said they have no idea how her bond with her father was.

“Shame on anyone for demonizing it. I am a human. My father was human. And you people have the nerve to act like you’re experts on ANY topic or know anything about my experience with him? Even my closest family has no clue what I know and have experienced. And you come at me with your ignorant opinions and nasty comments hiding behind your screens? Go back under your bridge, trolls,” she added.
