Both Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods are avid gamers, with the latter being known for streaming Tekken on Twitch. Their departure prompted AEW star Ricochet to comment on how he would be able to beat them in Tekken again soon. On X, Ricochet wrote:

The New Day and AEW star MJF also reacted to The New Day exiting WWE

The New Day parting ways with the Stamford-based promotion came as a surprise to many in the pro wrestling industry.

The Usos, who are one of the biggest names in the tag team division of the company, reacted to the news by posting a message on X, paying tribute to the iconic duo. They wrote:

“My boys the ….NEW ….DAY Love uces,” wrote The Usos.

AEW star MJF also shared a message on Instagram, showing his respect for Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods. He wrote:

“It’s a new day…yes it is,” wrote MJF.

With both Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods now free agents, it will be interesting to see what they have planned for the future. Woods also has made efforts to make his alter ego of Austin Creed popular, which will certainly help him switch over to another character down the line when needed. Whether they will consider joining AEW after WWE though, remains to be seen.
