The same four names are always in the title picture, with CM Punk and Roman Reigns holding the major titles of RAW and SmackDown. The tag team divisions are in worse shape now than at this time last year. WWE should not do the next five things in the second half of 2026.
#5. The Bloodline continues to appear on both brands
This happened during the first run and is rearing its ugly head again ever since WrestleMania 42. The Usos and Jacob Fatu are all over RAW in multiple segments. Roman Reigns ends practically every RAW when he shows up.
The lackeys do Reigns’ bidding, including going to SmackDown to assert The Tribal Chief’s will. Fatu and Jimmy went to the blue brand on different occasions to demand Solo Sikoa return to the fold.
Doing so takes time away from other stars who need to be featured on SmackDown. Ilja Dragunov, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Jordynne Grace have been non-existent on programming for months.
Rey Fenix was treated the same until the last few weeks. R-Truth gets more air time. WWE needs to contain the Bloodline drama to RAW so that SmackDown stars, and some RAW stars, get the chance to shine. Triple H also must try someone different in WarGames.
#4. Underbook Gunther and Bron Breakker
By overpushing and focusing on members of the Bloodline on RAW, Gunther and Bron Breakker have been pushed to the side. Both men still appear each week, but the fashion in which they do so is disappointing.
Gunther had loads of momentum after retiring John Cena and AJ Styles within two months. He was being positioned for big things, but then was randomly shifted to SmackDown after WrestleMania.
He lost in several attempts to beat Cody Rhodes, further diminishing his credibility. If that’s not bad enough, he’s likely facing SmackDown GM Nick Aldis at SummerSlam.
As for Breakker, he challenged for the World Heavyweight Title in January. After an injury and losing a feud to Seth Rollins, he has been relegated to the tag division.
These are two stars who should be main-eventing multiple PLEs a year, and not fighting GMs or tag team battles.
#3. Oba Femi/Bloodline member wins Money in the Bank
Femi has been booked as a monster, beating Brock Lesnar in under six minutes at WrestleMania 42. He’s dispatched every challenger, leading to a King of the Ring victory. It’s still unclear if he’s truly thrown his title shot away to deal with Lesnar.
What shouldn’t happen is that he also wins Money in the Bank. If it happens, it means he was given two major wins in the precious few ways stars can earn a championship shot.
Since Bloodline members have won the last two Royal Rumbles, one should not win Money in the Bank either. This means Jey Uso, Solo Sikoa, or Fatu should not carry the case. There are nearly 80 other stars to consider instead of one faction.
#2. Poorly book the WWE and Women’s World Championships
For some reason, WWE has decided to eschew one of its major women’s titles at various points over the last year. Jade Cargill’s reign was marred by inaction and no title defenses in her first 100 days as champion.
She lost her biggest feud as champion to Rhea Ripley. While that change put the WWE Women’s Title on the right path, Liv Morgan’s run as Women’s World Champion has been pointless.
Morgan hasn’t defended the title once since winning it on April 18th. It’s nearly July 18th. That’s three months with zero title defenses from the top woman on RAW.
Losing to SKY at SummerSlam must be strongly considered. Triple H needs to focus on the women’s divisions on both brands instead of doing nothing or keeping one in a holding pattern.
#1. The WWE Championship, and not the World Heavyweight Title, changes hands again
The Undisputed WWE Championship has changed hands four times in 2026. Drew McIntyre and Sami Zayn had short runs after winning the title from Cody Rhodes. CM Punk then bested Zayn for the title.
He’ll face The American Nightmare at SummerSlam. Conversely, the World Heavyweight Championship has changed hands once this year. Reigns beat Punk for the belt at The Show of Shows.
This didn’t happen to The Head of the Table while he held the title. If Triple H is going to book one of the major titles to change hands before the end of the year, it must be the World Heavyweight Title.
There are too many names that could benefit from holding it, including Breakker, LA Knight, Gunther, or Femi. It’s okay for The Tribal Chief to lose.
