Meanwhile, real-life Bloodline member Zilla Fatu made his debut on NXT, where he first took out Cruz Montana fka Mike Santana. Grayson Waller reacted to the debut, sarcastically stating that this was just what WWE needed, calling Zilla Fatu “another overrated Uce”.
This is, of course, a message that packs quite a punch. While you might only see a tweet with seven words, what Waller is expressing is years of frustration at the fact that members of the Anoa’i family get an easier route into WWE. While that view certainly lacks nuance (especially because Jacob Fatu, for example, had to overcome years of hurdles to reach WWE), there is no doubt that the sports entertainment giant isn’t afraid to tap into its long-standing relationship with the Anoa’i family, aka The Bloodline.
It’s going to be interesting to see what Shawn Michaels has planned for Zilla Fatu in NXT. A match against Grayson Waller is far from unrealistic.
