Following the show, Corbin has shared an update on Instagram showing that he suffered a nasty cut by his ear as part of the match.

Despite the loss, it seems that Corbin has remained in good spirits since he was revealed earlier today that the former champion signed a multi-year contract with WWE when he made his return.

Baron Corbin’s current deal could be his last

Baron Corbin returned to WWE earlier this year, and it seems that he is set for a few more years on the main roster before he announces his retirement.

While speaking with The Sportster, Baron Corbin noted that this could be his final WWE contract.

“My thought process is this is probably the last one I sign. Realistically, how much time do I have left to do this before I’m a step slower, or I’m not able to bring my A game and the physicality I want? I never want to be a guy that hangs on too long. I want to be at 110% when I walk through those curtains,” he claimed.

Corbin made his return in the mid-card, which was a surprise since many fans believed that he would return to be part of a storyline with Danhausen, since the two men had been teasing something for a while.

It will be interesting to see what’s next for Corbin now that he’s no longer United States Champion. It’s unclear if he will continue the story with Trick Williams and Lil Yachty or if it’s time for him to move on to something new.
