The latest episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown saw a segment between The Samoan Werewolf and The Street Champion, where the Tribal Wolf told the leader of The MFT that The OTC has sent him to bring Sikoa back home.
The Street Champion tried to manipulate Fatu instead by asking him why he had joined the Bloodline and rejected the offer of rejoining Reigns’s stable.
Solo Sikoa then asked Jacob Fatu to send his message to The Original Tribal Chief that if he wants him back home, he can come get him. That being said, in this article, we will explore three reasons why Sikoa refused to rejoin the Bloodline:
#3. The MFT hasn’t broken up yet
After Roman Reigns lost his Undisputed WWE Championship to Cody Rhodes and went on an extended hiatus, his enforcer at the time, Solo Sikoa, turned his back on him and formed his own Bloodline 2.0 with Tama Tonga, Tanga Loa, and Jacob Fatu.
But once Reigns returned, he dismantled the Bloodline 2.0 and Sikoa, who had crowned himself the Tribal Chief. Later, Fatu exited the group and had a heated feud with Solo.
After some time, Sikoa revamped his faction and named it The MFTs, welcoming some new members, including Talla Tonga and JC Mateo.
Recently, Mateo and Tanga were released from the Stamford-based promotion, leaving Sikoa with only Talla and Tama, with The MFTs working well under his supervision. The Street Champion jumping ships back to Bloodline and abandoning his own stable makes no sense.
#2. Former WWE Champion wants to be the leader
Since taking over his own lead in the Stamford-based promotion, Solo Sikoa has positioned himself as the leader, first of the Bloodline 2.0 and then the repackaged stable of the MFTs.
If he goes back to Roman Reigns’ OG Bloodline stable, he would have served under the Original Tribal Chief. After being the leading member, it would be difficult for him to serve someone else, which could be another reason he has straight away rejected the Tribal Chief’s offer to rejoin his faction.
#1. Not willing to play second fiddle to Reigns
Solo Sikoa has been the Original Tribal Chief’s enforcer for a long time, making sure that he retains his Undisputed WWE Championship.
But now, the Street Champion has passed that time and would not want to focus on playing second fiddle to the World Heavyweight Champion once again. He would rather focus on his own journey, which may be another reason he decided not to rejoin the Original Tribal Chief’s Bloodline, despite receiving the offer from Reigns.
That being said, all the pointers elaborated above are speculative, and nothing has been officially confirmed as of now. As Jacob Fatu has said, he is after The OTC. It is a sure thing that Roman Reigns is not going to leave Solo Sikoa easily, and fans may see this arc unfold into a major storyline down the line.
With Night of Champions and WWE SummerSlam 2026 premium live events approaching, the stars and the writing staff are working tirelessly to craft the perfect card.
It will be interesting to see what plans Triple H and his WWE creative team have in store for Solo Sikoa and the Bloodline storyline in the coming weeks on Friday Night SmackDown and how Roman Reigns would react to the Street Champion rejecting his offer.
