On the latest episode of the red brand, Rollins once again inserted himself into the storyline by indirectly helping The Street Profits and Joe Hendry secure a huge victory over The Vision. However, the situation was far from friendly, as tensions also emerged between Rollins and Montez Ford afterward.
With The Street Profits now heading toward a World Tag Team Championship opportunity against Austin Theory and Logan Paul at Saturday Night’s Main Event XLIV, Seth Rollins could once again become the deciding factor.
That said, in this article, we will take a look at three reasons why The Visionary might help The Street Profits capture the title.
#3. To make things worse for The Vision
Seth Rollins may say many things, but one thing has remained clear since WrestleMania 42: he wants revenge.
Bron Breakker cost Rollins a major victory over Gunther at WrestleMania 42. That’s not all. Breakker has continued targeting The Visionary in the weeks that followed. At this stage, hurting The Vision could be more important to the former World Champion than anything else.
The World Tag Team Championship is the only title the faction possesses through Logan Paul and Austin Theory. If The Street Profits win the gold, it would weaken the group’s status. That’s not all. Perhaps it would also create visible cracks within the faction.
Seth Rollins potentially helping Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins become champions would not only damage Austin Theory and Logan Paul, but it would also frustrate Bron Breakker and Paul Heyman.
Even if Rollins has no interest in becoming friends with The Street Profits, damaging his enemies might be a reason enough for him to interfere.
#2. To gain The Street Profits’ trust
This one could be far more interesting. The relationship between Seth Rollins and The Street Profits has been complicated. The duo originally returned and helped him when he was being overwhelmed by The Vision after WrestleMania 42.
However, things became awkward this week on RAW. While Rollins did help them secure the victory against The Vision, tensions emerged between him and Montez Ford afterward. Specifically, Bron Breakker tried to spear The Visionary, but he moved, causing Breakker to spear Angelo Dawkins instead, which angered Ford.
That creates an interesting possibility. Seth Rollins could realize that he needs allies if he wants to survive against The Vision. Bron Breakker, Logan Paul, Austin Theory, and Paul Heyman have continued to operate as a unit. Hence, fighting that kind of force alone seems difficult, even for someone like Rollins.
Helping The Street Profits win the World Tag Team Championship could be The Visionary’s way of proving that his intentions are genuine. Instead of simply saying he can be trusted, he could show it.
If Seth Rollins helps them win the championship, it would be a significant gesture that could convince Ford and Dawkins that they are on the same side.
#1. To set up a future clash featuring Seth Rollins, The Street Profits, and Joe Hendry vs. The Vision in full force
This feels like the strongest possibility. RAW has slowly been building toward a larger faction war. Joe Hendry has already become involved due to his issues with Logan Paul, while The Street Profits are focused on the World Tag Team Championship. Meanwhile, Seth Rollins looks obsessed with taking down Bron Breakker and The Vision.
Everything is beginning to connect. We could see a scenario where Rollins helps The Street Profits defeat Logan Paul and Austin Theory to become new World Tag Team Champions. However, the celebration is cut short as Bron Breakker walks out, perhaps alongside a returning Bron Breakker.
While the babyfaces are waiting for them to enter the ring, Logan Paul and Austin Theory would attack from behind, leading to chaos. Joe Hendry would then run down to even the odds.
If this happens, it would instantly set the stage for a four-man team of Seth Rollins, Montez Ford, Angelo Dawkins, and Hendry against The Vision in full force. WWE seemingly loves using major multi-man feuds to build toward premium live events, and the pieces are already there.
Moreover, we have already seen the chemistry between Joe Hendry and The Street Profits on WWE RAW. Rather than just ending the feud at the tag title match, Seth Rollins potentially helping The Street Profits could simply be the beginning of something much bigger.
If this happens, it would open the door for an intriguing feud between the two teams on the red brand.
