Speaking on The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, former WWE star Matt Hardy noted that Zilla Fatu should spend some time in NXT before joining the main roster and The Bloodline.

“I think right now I’m very happy to see him in NXT. I think he could use a very good run in NXT, really become established on his own as a Zilla Fatu, as an individual character, not just lumped in with all the small ones. Because once you get into the whole Bloodline deal, it’s kind of hard to stand out.”

The WWE veteran thinks Zilla Fatu can build his identity in NXT

According to Matt Hardy, spending time in NXT will be more beneficial to Zilla Fatu than the main roster at this point.

Adding to his previous comments, Hardy stated:

“If you just automatically jump into the Bloodline, it’s really easy to get lost in the shuffle there, just because there’s so many great Samoans. It’s hard to really stand out. In NXT, I think he can stand out on his own and really establish his own identity, which will make him even more valuable if he does become part of the whole Bloodline story.”

Considering the surplus of talent in the Bloodline right now, Matt Hardy’s perception is not something to ignore. It remains to be seen how Zilla Fatu manages his career in WWE.
