Many fans thought the two former AEW stars would kick off their blockbuster rivalry on SmackDown since Randy Orton was absent. However, Triple H has yet to pull the trigger on this feud. Amid his absence, the Straight Edge Superstar was rumored to be Danhausen’s mystery partner at Backlash, but that didn’t happen either. In fact, Punk was not present backstage at Backlash in Tampa this past weekend.

Earlier today, some eagle-eyed fans noticed that the 47-year-old Chicago native was no longer advertised for the upcoming European Summer Tour in June. He is not featured on the latest promotional cover for some RAW episodes next month.

This comes as a surprise since he was previously scheduled to appear during the European Summer Tour.

There’s no word yet on when CM Punk will return to television. On the RAW after WrestleMania 42, he said he wouldn’t be taking a vacation. His continued absence suggests that he’s currently on a hiatus.

Triple H gives props to CM Punk for WrestleMania 42 success

WWE recently uploaded a video on its YouTube channel, giving fans a sneak peek into what went on before WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas.

During the clip, Triple H thanked Punk for the house.

“Cause of you, man. Thanks for the house.”

The Best in the World responded to him by saying it was a team effort.

“It was a team effort. You know that. Thank you, those are kind words.”

CM Punk and Triple H hugged it out in a rare moment behind the scenes.

This was the latest example of how the two men set aside their differences for the sake of the business.
