In the final episode, the focus also turns to his public support for US President Donald Trump after he voted for him in the 2016 and 2020 presidential elections. Hogan faced backlash for this as his fans were left divided.

Then following the 2024 assassination attempt at Donald Trump, the WWE legend showed his support for the Republican. He appeared at a Republican convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Hogan said enough was enough after they took a shot at his “hero.”

In the Netflix documentary, Sky Daily Hogan revealed that Hogan was nervous about coming out to support Trump but still went ahead with it. She then mentioned that the backlash they faced went beyond strong social media reactions.

“In this new chapter of his life, he wanted to be as authentic and true to himself, not just the Hulk Hogan character. And you know, it wasn’t without some backlash. We did get d*ath threat letters, but, you know, for the overall pro-America brand, it was great,” she said.

Hulk Hogan thought about taking his life after first divorce

The last part of Netflix’s Hulk Hogan: Real American also focused on the WWE icon’s divorce from his first wife, Linda, in 2009.

In the documentary, Hogan talked about going on a downward spiral after the divorce. He said he started drinking and taking pills while struggling with the situation.

Hulk Hogan admitted that he had suicidal thoughts, as one day while he was in his bathroom, he put a gun in his mouth. He revealed that he hit rock bottom as he couldn’t figure out what to do next.
