One of Vice’s spots in the match was her running hip attack on the corner, attacking both Grey and Jayne multiple times. The move got a kick out of Booker T, who was calling the match with Vic Joseph.
The Hall of Famer is famously known for his over-the-top reactions to women using their ample behind during a match. He usually goes viral with the way he previously reacts to moves like Stephanie Vaquer’s Devil’s Kiss.
Here’s the video of the spot, with Booker T’s hilarious commentary.
In addition to winning her first singles championship, Lola Vice also became the first-ever Cuban-American female star to win a title with the company.
Lola Vice makes her first comments since winning first WWE singles title
In a post on Instagram, WWE shared a video of NXT general manager Robert Stone handing the NXT Women’s Championship to Lola Vice with her custom side plates. Vice was very emotional before making her first remarks as the new champ.
“Oh my goodness. I am so happy. I’ve been dreaming of this moment for so long. I don’t want to get emotional but just seeing my side plates and knowing I became NXT champion today, but also today I made history for my culture, first Cuban-American woman to become a WWE champion. I just want to let everybody know, I love you so much Vice City. Thank you for supporting me. I went through so much heartbreak to get through this title, but it is now the Vice Era, baby. Hard work pays off,” Vice said.
It is indeed the Lola Vice Era on NXT, so it’s going to be interesting to see who moves on to the main roster next and who will be her first challenger.
