Kane’s run as the Mayor of Knox County has come to an end. He sent a message fondly reflecting on his time as mayor, saying it had been one of the greatest privileges of his life and that he was glad to have served the county in that role. He spoke about his work as mayor and felt he had left the community stronger than he had found it. He added that he was grateful beyond words for the role.

This comes after eight years in the role, since 2018, meaning that he cannot run for the role again.

“Serving Knox County has been one of the greatest privileges and blessings of my life. We didn’t raise taxes, we stood for liberty, and I truly believe we left this community stronger than we found it. I’m grateful beyond words.”

It is now time for the next step in his career, and a lot of WWE fans have felt that he might return for a last retirement match to end his career. However, Kane himself has not said anything of the sort. Instead, when asked by WATE News about his plans for what was next in his career, he gave a steady, measured answer that outlined what he thought he should look to next.

“When asked about his political future, Jacobs said he would have to consider whether or not it would be the right decision for his family. He added that running Knox County is a big job, and he would have to consider if he has the right skill set to run for statewide office and represent all 95 counties in Tennessee.”

It remains to be seen what the WWE legend does next, and if he returns to RAW or SmackDown.
