On a recent clip from Keepin’ IT 100, Konnan detailed that the rivalry possibly wasn’t resonating with the fans. He pointed out that the WWE Universe popped for AJ Lee when she first returned a few months back and even showed support for everything she said. However, after a few appearances, her promos were not making any impact, Konnan said.

“Yeah, this is what I thought. When Lee first came back, since she hadn’t been around in eight years or whatever it was, everything she said the people were into, right? They were popping for just about everything she said, including the mental health issue, right? Now that that’s been brought up about two or three or four, I don’t know how many times, it just feels like unnatural dialogue, just like you said, and I think they’re giving her too much dialogue and she really isn’t that good.”

Becky Lynch vowed to retire AJ Lee

Throughout the build to this rivalry, Becky Lynch has maintained that her challenger did nothing to get a shot at the Women’s Intercontinental Championship.

During a recent interview with ESPN SportsCenter, Becky declared that she would put an end to AJ Lee at Elimination Chamber. The star suggested that she would end AJ’s career. She went on to say that unfortunately for Lee, she would still be the least talented AJ to retire this year.

Becky has been adamant that she will defeat and humiliate AJ Lee in front of her hometown fans in Chicago at the Elimination Chamber.
