- Jaguar will reveal the name of its new electric vehile on May 12.
- It will be a four-door production version of the Type 00 concept.
- Jaguar will reveal the production car in September.
Jaguar’s future hinges on its new electric vehicle. The British automaker is shifting its focus from the German and Japanese luxury brands to battle Bentley, Porsche, and Aston Martin instead. Doing so means a production version of the Type 00. While the car doesn’t have a proper name yet, that will change very soon.
According to Autocar India, Jaguar will announce the EV’s name on May 12 ahead of the production car’s debut in September. Deliveries are scheduled to begin early next year, giving the British brand a new model to sell after ending production of its combustion-powered lineup at the end of 2025.

The car that Jaguar will build should be slightly different from the original concept, which was a two-door coupe. The production car will be a four-door grand tourer that appears to be quite faithful to the concept’s proportions and overall design.
The electric Jaguar will ride on the automaker’s new platform called Jaguar Electric Architecture. The EV will feature three electric motors producing nearly 1,000 horsepower, an air suspension, and over 400 miles of range on the WLTP cycle.
We expect Jaguar to offer several variants of the EV, including less powerful options. Jaguar has not mentioned the price, but don’t expect it to be as cheap as previous models.
