There are some incredible golf courses throughout Wales, and you can play plenty of them on the NCG Top 100s Tour for under £100!
While Scotland first started playing golf in the 15th Century, it was almost the end of the 19th Century when the sport came to Welsh land.

We appreciate that in this day and age, to play at some of the major championship venues, you will have to fork out several hundred pounds.
However, there are some gems that will still cost you less than £100, and there are several of those on the NCG Top 100s Tour schedule for the year!
Wales is known for its links courses, around the coastline of the country, and there are plenty you can play on the Tour over the next 12 months…

Bull Bay
As the northernmost golf course in the country, Bull Bay overlooks the Irish Sea from its location at the northern tip of Anglesey. It offers stunning views from all parts of the golf course, one designed by the great Herbert Fowler.

Prestatyn
With a history of more than 120 years, Prestatyn is one of the oldest venues in the north of Wales. It sits alongside Prestatyn Beach, with a number of holes on the front nine running alongside the Irish Sea coastline.

Tenby
One of the oldest golf courses in Wales, Tenby’s history dates back to 1888. James Braid, one of the greatest golf course designers in history, was the man behind the 18-hole layout at Tenby, one that has remained relatively unchanged ever since.

Machynys Peninsula
One of two big name courses in the region to open in the early part of the 21st Century (the other hosted the Ryder Cup…), Machynys Peninsula is an epic links course on Monk’s Island, designed by Jack and Gary Nicklaus. It has hosted the Ladies European Tour in its short history.

Ashburnham
Another venue on the South Wales coastline, Ashburnham is a fantastic links offering. A host of the European Tour in days gone by, today, the course is a tough and true links layout. JH Taylor, Fred Hawtree and Ken Cotton have all had a hand in the design of the course over the years.
