- The 2027 Ram Rumble Bee is a new range of street trucks.
- There is a 777-horsepower Rumble SRT that rockets from zero to 60 miles per hour in 3.4 seconds.
- The standard Rumble Bee comes with a 5.7-liter V8 that lacks stop-start technology and the eTorque hybrid system.
Ram CEO Tim Kuniskis believes he’s figured out how to turn the street truck from a one-hit wonder into a new standard for muscle performance. It is called the Ram 1500 Rumble Bee, and instead of coming in just one extreme variant with an SRT badge and an equally extreme price tag, the automaker will launch an entire range of muscle trucks.
At the top will be the Rumble Bee SRT. It packs the same engine as the TRX—the 777-horsepower supercharged 6.2-liter Hellcat Hemi V8, which makes 680 pound-feet of torque. Ram says the truck can complete a quarter-mile run in 11.6 seconds at 116 miles per hour after ripping from zero to 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds.
Ram is targeting a top speed of 170 mph for the pickup. According to Kuniskis, the Rumble Bee SRT has already broken the 154.587-mph record set by the Dodge Ram SR10 20 years ago—and still stands, for now. That truck had the 8.3-liter V10 engine from the Viper that produced 500 hp and 525 lb-ft of torque.
| Model | Engine | Horsepower | 0-60 | Quarter-Mile |
| Rumble Bee | 5.7L V8 | 395 HP | 6.1 Seconds | 14.6 Seconds @ 93 MPH |
| Rumble Bee 392 | 6.4L V8 | 470 HP | 5.2 Seconds | 13.2 Seconds @ 101 MPH |
| Rumble Bee SRT | Supercharged 6.2L V8 | 777 HP | 3.4 Seconds | 11.6 Seconds @ 116 MPH |
The Rumble Bee should be better in every way.
For one, there will be three other variants available alongside the SRT: the standard Rumble Bee, the Rumble Bee 392, and the Rumble Bee 392 Track Pack. The other is the unique cab-and-bed configuration, pairing the smaller Quad Cab with the short bed.

Range Anxiety
While the SRT is the headliner, Kuniskis said that the brand expects the standard Rumble Bee and the 392 to “represent the heart of the market. They are going to make up all the volume.” So, what will most people be buying?
The entry-level model is the Rumble Bee, which features the 5.7-liter Hemi V8 engine Ram is now calling the “Eagle.” It produces 395 hp and 410 lb-ft and, according to Ram’s boss, has just one battery. The 5.7-liter will not feature Ram’s eTorque mild-hybrid system or stop-start technology, nor will the 6.4-liter, which is available in the 1500 for the first time.

“You may see more of that,” he said.
Sitting between the Rumble Bee and the SRT is the 392. The 6.4-liter “Apache” makes 470 hp and 455 lb-ft of torque, using the same eight-speed 8HP75 automatic transmission as the standard Bee. The SRT uses the more robust 8HP95 gearbox.
Every Rumble Bee features a Borg-Warner 48-11 transfer case that comes with a front-axle disconnect. Drivers can simply press a button on the dashboard to send all the power to the rear wheels. Ram will offer an optional asymmetrical limited-slip differential later for improved handling, which gets a major dose of fun with the 392 Track Pack.
The Track Pack adds something called E-Spool that’s designed for drag race starts and burnouts. It electronically locks the rear axle and even splits the torque between both tires. Despite all the performance goodies, the truck can tow up to 8,890pounds and has a 1,160-lb payload capacity.
Truly Chopped
In true street truck fashion, Ram chopped the Rumble Bee into something unique, pairing the smaller Quad Cab and short bed. It’s 13.0 inches shorter, measuring 219.5 inches long. This forced Ram engineers to shorten a long list of components like the driveshaft, wiring harnesses, brake lines, and fuel lines.
The shortened length increased the truck’s rigidity, while its wider stance improved stability. It measures 88 inches wide, with a 6.8-inch wider front track and a 7.0-inch wider rear track. An available air suspension can lower the ride height by another 1.5 inches.
The Rumble Bee has a new front fascia that looks like a bulldog ready for a fight. It has massive openings designed to increase cooling and downforce, starting with the 4.5-inch front splitter, which Ram said it will not be shipping with colored guards.
Vents direct air to the brakes, while smaller mirrors mounted on shorter arms help give the truck a 0.357 drag coefficient. There is also a large spoiler on the tailgate that can work in conjunction with an available hardtop tonneau cover that improves stability on the track.

The 392 Track Pack and SRT feature massive tires, second only in width to the Viper’s, measuring 325 millimeters. They wrap around equally wide 22-by-12-inch wheels, which hide the massive 16.1.in front rotors and six-piston Brembo brakes.
Inside, the Rumble Bee looks like a 1500 with a bit of flair. It has Rumble Bee branding throughout, a flat-bottom steering wheel, and aluminum paddle shifters. There are three available infotainment screen sizes, measuring up to 14.5 inches. Ram even offers a premium Harman Kardon sound system with 19 speakers crammed into the cab, including a 10.0-inch subwoofer.
Rumble Bee Pricing And Availability
The 2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee will go on sale in late 2026. The Rumble Bee 392 and Rumble Bee SRT launch in the first half of 2027.
Ram did not provide pricing for its new pickups, but we expect the SRT to cost around the same as the 2027 TRX, which starts at $102,290. The standard model and the 392 will be cheaper, with the automaker expecting the two lesser variants to account for the bulk of the sales.

Motor1’s Take: Kuniskis said he is well aware that street trucks have never truly succeeded, lasting only a few years before sales decline, and the automaker discontinues the model. The Rumble Bee is trying to be different by being more than a halo vehicle, bridging the gap between performance and utility as consumers continue to turn the truck into an everything vehicle—and Ram has turned it into a muscle car you can tow with on Saturday and drag race on Sunday.
