But this fruitful coexistence wasn’t always the case. During a recent appearance on Wrestling Life Online, former WWE and TNA star Matt Morgan talked about the rumors that he was close to a return to the Stamford-based promotion in 2014.

Morgan revealed that he had a lot to consider after he realized that Triple H wasn’t keen on former TNA stars working in WWE.

“There’s another truth that a lot of people don’t realize- that for a minute there, Triple H didn’t want anything to do with any former TNA talents. He used to say, ‘If you want to come, then you got to get rid of that TNA stink, or stank,'” he claimed.

Morgan mentioned that the message didn’t come from The Game directly, but it would come from Road Dogg and his friends in the company.

“It wouldn’t come from him directly. It’d come from like BG James, other people that I’m friends with that work for the company,” he added.

Matt Morgan worked in WWE from 2002 to 2005 before joining TNA in 2007. His first stint with the company lasted for six years before he was released.

He then returned to the promotion for brief appearances in subsequent years.

Former WWE star believes Triple H scrapped plans for his WrestleMania return

At WrestleMania 39, Edge faced “Demon” Finn Balor in a Hell in a Cell match. Before the match, there was a lot of speculation that Edge’s former Brood partner would show up at the event.

While the Rated-R Superstar made a Brood-inspired entrance, Gangrel was nowhere to be found. Recently, speaking on INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet, Gangrel addressed the rumors that Vince McMahon had cancelled plans for his return.

However, the 57-year-old star said it was Triple H, not Vince, who scrapped the plans for his WrestleMania return.
